| SUMMARY: | Design annual beds, seasonal containers, seasonal decorations (fall and holiday displays, interior displays, etc.), perennial gardens, development and renovations in collaboration with Client Relations Managers, Project Managers and Salespeople. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Adhere to and uphold all Company safety practices, procedures, and policies.
- Develop an understanding of the Scott Byron & Co. brand and take actions to ensure that the finished product meets the quality expectations appropriate to our brand.
- Consult with Client Relations Managers, Project Managers, and Salespeople to understand contract specifications and budgets and ensure they are met to maintain clients’ complete satisfaction.
- View sites and measure planting spaces, updating property planting zones in Flower Power (SBC proprietary flower design software).
- Participate in the assessment and review of design alternatives and design change proposal impacts.
- Research, develop, and implement current trends in perennial and annual design.
- Provide training to appropriate personnel to maintain the highest level of skills. This could include CRMs, Field Managers, Site Supervisors, or crews installing seasonal color material.
- Coordinate with Buyers group and Flower yard staff to facilitate capacity planning, material requirements, and order fulfillment.
- Utilize appropriate technologies to facilitate information management and record keeping.
- Exhibit flexibility in an ever-changing work environment and demonstrate ability to prioritize and juggle competing tasks and demands.
- Review work performance with internal clients and management against targets, benchmarks, and contract agreements.
- Responsible for driving daily in a company vehicle with or without passengers.
- Communicate and resolve needs, issues, safety concerns and/or problems to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain good communication and positive relations with coworkers, customers, and the public.
- Represent the Company in a positive manner befitting our brand and image.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Knowledge of Aspire is a plus.
- Candidates must have a valid local driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
- Required to pass a DOT medical physical according to DOT guidelines.
- A pre-employment physical and drug test is required after offer of employment.
- Will be subject to random drug screening.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, managers, coworkers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must be able to communicate in English, including reading, writing, and using computers and phones
