A Scott Byron & Co. Crew Driver Laborer is primarily responsible for assisting with installation, renovation, lawn care and landscape maintenance services. They must drive company vehicles to/from work sites while maintaining strong communication with coworkers, clients and the public.

  • Seasonal Employment, working 40-60 hours per week, weather permitting, Saturdays required.
  • We offer Overtime and Pay Weekly! 

Daily Tasks:

  • Responsible to drive daily in a commercial vehicle with or without passengers.
  • Use and maintain vehicles and equipment as safe and appropriate means to safely transport crews and materials.
  • Perform physical field and yard work; load and unload vehicles at pickup and delivery.
  • Perform duties as directed by Site Supervisor or Foreman in daily activities.
  • Work safely in a team environment to produce high quality landscapes.
  • MAINTENANCE LABORER ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Execution of landscape maintenance service work including, but not limited to, mowing, trimming, pruning, seeding, raking, fertilizing, aeration, and other maintenance tasks as necessary.
    • Assist Site Supervisor with all phases of daily tasks as directed to ensure 100% on time delivery of all contracted work.
    • Support crew by contributing to constant attention to detail, cleanliness of job sites, and preventive maintenance of all equipment.
  • CONSTRUCTION LABORER ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Execution of landscape construction work including, but not limited to, planting, mulching, grading and bed preparation, removal and transplant, timber and boulder retaining walls, sod installation, drainage installation, site development, and other construction work tasks as necessary.
    • Assist Foreman with all phases of daily tasks as directed to ensure 100% on time delivery of all contracted work.
    • Support crew by contributing to constant attention to detail, cleanliness of job sites, and preventive maintenance of all equipment. 

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of landscape construction, installation and maintenance obtained through previous experience in the green industry or a related position.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical field work as directed by supervisor.
  • Candidates must have a valid local driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Required to pass a DOT medical physical according to DOT guidelines.
  • A pre-employment physical and drug test is required after offer of employment.
  • Will be subject to random drug screening.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
